Wo-hoo! We Did it! Thank you for making history at the TeamChild Hack!!

Thank you for your participation, presentations and promotion of the TeamChild Hackathon. We were absolutely amazed by the legal innovations developed by every team throughout the weekend. Now that we've started this conversation around technology improving youth justice, let's keep things moving in our community to work on solving these important Youth Justice issues!

For our winning teams, “Reinstating Suspended Licensees” and “Beyond 180”, we will be providing direct connections with our sponsors and community partners to prepare your projects for our "Demo Day” showcase on a date to be decided. As we mentioned during the event, the winning teams will have a few months to polish their projects with the support from our local and national partners:

  • Between now and the demo day, we will remain in contact with our sponsors with information on your projects. If you have any updates for them or resources that you may need immediately in order to keep your project running smoothly, please respond to this email and let us know!

We want to make sure that we're providing as much support as possible and would be happy to direct requests from any team (not just the winners) with our wide variety of sponsors and community partners.

We have also opened up the DevPost submissions for teams to edit or resubmit their projects. We will be using the information in these submissions to advertise our event in the future and communicate our success to our sponsors, so please make sure your project is up to date (including any slides/prototypes if you can):
(Re)submit your project!

Our community sponsor, Microsoft has provided access to their Azure Cloud Computing Platform and Services to all of our participants. You can sign up for access using the link below:

In addition, our promotional sponsor F6S is giving away some sweet resources to all of our hackers:

We will be sending a follow-up email later this week to give you more information on how you can take advantage of the Free 101 course offered by our amazing venue sponsor Code Fellows.

Congratulations to the winning teams and to all who participated! In just 24 hours, we made some significant steps towards improving youth Justice outcomes.

... but there's always more work to do! We want to know what made this hackathon a success and what we can do better next time - so we want to ask you!

We would like to ask all participants to fill out our post-hackathon survey that we will be sending out in a follow-up email. Thank you in advance for ~5 minutes of your timeThank you all for making last weekend a success! Don't forget to keep the conversation going on Slack, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram - using #TCHack or @TeamChild to stay in touch.

Last but not least, thank you to all of our sponsors and community partner who helped make this possible! Let them know you appreciate them by tagging or referencing them on social media.
